Toys Flammability Tester

Toys Flammability Tester - The definition of "flammability" according to SNI ISO Standard 8124-2 is the ability of a material or product to ignite under fire under specified test conditions. Further described the prohibited material on toys because quickly triggered a fire (flammable) is:

- Celluloid (cellulose nitrate), except when used in varnish, paint or glue
- Material with stacking surfaces that produce lightning / spark when held close to fire.
- Solid / Solid Solid Materials.
- Gas, flammable liquids & gels.

Solid, instantaneous and rapidly consumed solid materials will be regarded as highly flammable materials. Plastics, paper, textiles, etc., will all burn, but are not considered as flammable solids in the context of this requirement.

Toys filled with maximum dimensions of 520 mm or less. When tested in accordance with clause 5.5, the rate of spreading of flame on the surface shall not exceed 30 mm / sec.

This ability test for burning is very important for toy products with the aim of preventing the danger of burning in children.
